A picture is worth … 97 lives. The framed picture is black and white, and hangs above the reception desk at the old McRae Elementary School on West 18th Street in North Little Rock.

The lives belong to the children, from infant to age 5, who were at the school on a gray day in January. All those children are developmentally disabled, and because of this place they have a chance. READ MORE
